BENETAZZO HOUSE
The philosophy adopted in the architectural composition of the project suggested the construction of two buildings designed as an only "housing", but configured to be completely independent.
These are two separate but related houses, as well as architectural aspect, even from the management of outdoor spaces: in fact, the arcades accompanying external ways, build the "scene" that frames the swimming pool.
The orientation respect to sunlight and the relationship between internal and external, are the most interesting issues in which the building is compared. The same position of the two buildings in the plot was designed to ensure the exposure on all fronts.
The larger windows have been placed in the south-east and south-west facades, in order to take advantage for the contribution of sunlight and heat so important especially in winter. In summer, however, a system of mobile frangisole, coupled to the pillars of the porch, provide the necessary shade during the summer.
On the other side, however, the holes are kept to a minimum, to avoid leakage. This choice also made it possible to make the facades more closed to the public, open and permeable to the private garden.
Particular attention was paid to the design of openings designed, from time to time, to enhance and differentiate the natural lighting.
The entrance is from the center point of the building, and it is emphasized by the double-height space that is in front, and that illuminates the area with a large window.
