During the 15 years of opening of the Mall “Piazzagrande” (that means “large square”), to improve the functionality and to increase significantly the beauty of the interiors, it was hold a competition of ideas on the invitation that has seen winning the proposal of Arch. Saeid Shahamat.
The project involves the enhancement of the interior spaces and their improved usability, making original architectural choices, and using particularly appealing and modern materials, including also the expansion of trade thanks to a careful reassessment of the environments. New spaces will be created to stop and exposure and rethought the decoration of the gallery, installing new lighting, creating a new flooring, new ceilings, and coating the pillars with elements that accentuate the brightness of the shopping center. Care of materials, attention to the quality of the finishes, the desire to enhance the design of trade routes are the core elements to this whole restyling operation . It will be appreciated the central entrance, which will act as a real "main square": here it will rise the new stair, made by steel and glass, which becomes both the stage and steps to assist and organize events. In this way, the shopping center will become a "small city" of entertainment and a shopping district, consisting of a set of paths and squares, becoming in this way goal of excellence for leisure and returning to the value and the feature declared by its very name: “Piazzagrande”. |
